Colombia, the country with the two oceans, the country with the highest coastal mountain range in the world. Colombia has many qualities; one is that its economy is based on a natural product which is coffee, this doesn’t mean that it is only based on coffee, it also relies on its beautiful landscapes and rivers, as well as its beaches and coastal cities, which attract many tourists. In Colombia there are many national parks, in them the nature and its great species are exposed this is another source of income, the most visited places such as cities and small towns. There is Cartagena known as ‘La ciudad amurallada’ it is one of the most emblematic cities of Colombia, another advantage is that Colombia is the main producer of emeralds with more than 150 mines of these. The way in which most cities are connected is through the rivers that Colombia has along it. ‘El rio amazonas’ the widest, mightiest, deepest and longest in the world. Colombia has a great biodiversity; this make it a multicultural country. Colombia is ill seen by the issue of drugs trafficking and the thousands of murders that occurred at that time, but Colombia is beautiful, both for its landscapes and its population, is full of friendly people.

Barranquilla also is a beautiful city at Colombia, the city where the river ‘El rio Magdalena’ meets the ocean ‘’El mar caribe’’ surrounded by beautiful rural and urban landscapes, actually is one of the most advanced city in Colombia at architectural level for its large and modern structures or buildings, it’s a city in which people’s moods and energy is always up, they are always happy and they are always celebrating something, they always see the good side of things. Something that characterizes them is the joy of their music, they have genres such as ‘’vallenato, salsa, cumbia, merengue’’ and many more that I could name right now, this music describe the beautiful landscapes of the city and flatters women. There it is one of the most beautiful and biggest holidays of the year at Colombia ‘’El Carnaval de Barranquilla’’ this festival attracts many tourists, including foreigners, now it has been declared a cultural heritage of humanity it is celebrated on the month of February. Barranquilla is also know as ‘’La puerta de oro de Colombia’’ because many travelers and merchandise arrived there, if you want to know the happiness and fun you should go to Barranquilla.

I live in a neighborhood that is almost leaving Barranquilla in the way of Puerto Colombia, it is a very quiet area because it is not an arena with too much transit, it has advantage and disadvantages to live there, one of the advantages is that it is a different area to the urban part of Barranquilla is more old and country style, it is an area where every day is filled more than university, because here are different universities, this part of Barranquilla is perfect for those people who like peace and tranquility because people are very respectful and there are almost never problems between them, I’ve been living here for almost two years and my family, my family and I have never had any problems with anyone, a disadvantage is that almost everything is far away, places like school, shopping centers, malls and places like that are so far away. I live in a closed residential complex of houses, my neighbors are very kind and they like me to play my musical instruments. A curious fact is that professional soccer players send them to live here because it is an area away from noisy and partying places.
